What is PaperPerfect? PaperPerfect is a professional copyediting and proofreading solution for all kinds of English writing. We make it simple: just send us your writing – we’ll fix it and email it back to you in less than 24 hours. (24 hours for papers under 5000 words; 48 hours for papers under 10,000 words. For longer projects, ask for a time estimate.)
Who uses PaperPerfect? We receive a wide variety of material from all over the world. We regularly handle academic articles and abstracts, essays and term papers, business reports and documents, novels, nonfiction books and more.
How do I send my paper? After checking out our pricing, you can go straight to our submissions page to get started. Step 1 is sending a secure payment through PayPal.com or bank transfer, and Step 2 is uploading your paper using our online form. If you have any problems, just upload your paper via our ‘free trial page’ and we will send you an invoice.
What will you do for me? The level of our editing depends on the quality of the paper. We’ll check carefully for punctuation errors, spelling mistakes, and improve word choice or sentence structure where possible. If your paper needs heavy re-writing, we’ll do it. On the other hand, if your paper is very clean already, we may only make a few changes.
Will you preserve my writing voice and style? Absolutely. Our editors will preserve your unique voice and writing style, while at the same time restructuring confusing passages and fixing mistakes. We may comment on how to improve your writing style or strengthen your writing, but we won’t blindly make changes or rewrite your document. You don’t have to agree with or accept our suggestions – but they will help you see how readers may respond to your writing.
Why don’t you charge less for proofreading than copyediting? Some other sites charge different prices for copyediting or proofreading services – however, in our experience, every paper needs a bit of both. Anyway, our combined, in-depth service is less than what most others charge for proofreading alone.
How much will it cost? 0.02 USD per word, with discounts of up to 65% for length. This works out to $20/1,000 words, or about $5 per page.
How do I pay? We use PayPal.com as our payment gateway. PayPal is the #1 choice for secure online payments, and takes all major credit cards. You can also pay by bank transfer, or Google Checkout. Email us to discuss alternatives.
Is there a student discount? Our everyday low rates were priced with students in mind. Although there’s no special discount for students, our prices are just about the lowest you’ll find.
How much experience do you have? Our editors have advanced degrees in English Literature or related fields, a history in education or public service, and years of professional experience as editors.
How long will it take? Although your paper may be returned sooner, 48 hours is a good estimate for most papers under 10 pages. Longer papers, or very technical academic writing, will take more time. (Estimate about 1 day for each 5,000 words.)
How can your prices be so affordable? Yes, surprisingly enough we’ve actually been asked this question. With our quantity discount, writers can sometimes pay as little as $2.00 per page! We are an internet based business with low administration costs. In addition, many of our editors are living abroad in countries with a low cost of living. Although our prices may be lower than competitors, you can rely on our quality and professionalism.
What if I’m not happy with the service? If you’re not satisfied with the way we’ve handled your paper, we’ll edit it again for free or give you your money back. Just let us know what we did wrong.
Is it cheating? Although we will make your paper cleaner, smoother and easier to understand, it is still your content. Most professors care most about the ideas you are trying to express, and clear writing only helps express those ideas. Many teachers actually recommend having your paper edited.
However, if you’re a student being graded on English proficiency, you may want to ask your teacher how they feel about you getting help.
