Several years ago I started this website, Paper Perfect Editing, as way to work from home as a professional editor and proofreader. Since then, I’ve very nearly supported myself solely on income from this website, as the chief (sole) editor.

I edit all kinds of novels, non-fiction books, theses, reports, academic articles and business documents. I enjoy it, but recently I’ve gotten too busy and am looking to pass ownership of this website onto someone else.

You’ve probably found this webpage searching editing jobs, work at home jobs, or opportunities to become a freelance editor. There’s a few ways to make this happen. First of all, you can work for another online editing and proofreading service. The problem is, they will take as much as half your earnings, which means you have to work very hard to get a little bit of cash.

You can also become a freelance editor by joining Elance or another freelancer site, but then you have to frequently compete with hundreds of other editors, and often ‘low-ball’ bid to get any jobs.

If you have excellent English skills, are a capable and professional editor, and looking to invest in a business opportunity, then I have a third option for you: buy this website! PaperPerfect routinely generates between $800~$1200 in editing work every month, with no advertising at all. That’s simply from natural search engine leads. Depending on your speed, you can make over $20 an hour editing from home. That’s perfect for a student, stay at home mom, or any one else who wants to make some extra money.

I’m also open to the idea of you paying off a settled amount through free editing; for example, if we agree on $8000, you’d “work for free” until you’ve done $8000 worth of work, after which the website and all future work would be yours.

On the other hand, if you wanted to raise the prices up a little, and outsource the work to cheaper editors, you may be able to make more without doing anything.
